Laguna Mountain

Daddy wanted to take us to see snow up in the mountain. Daddy ordered snow cables online. We also went to Burlington Coat Factory, Target, Ross, and TJ Maxx to look for snow pants, boots, beanies, and gloves for Ethan and Wyatt.

We weren't sure if there was snow in Laguna Mountain but it did snow on Wednesday. We didn't want to drive all the way to Big Bear, so we tried Laguna Mountain. Luckily, there was still snow. We arrived around 2pm and let them played about 1 hour. Ethan and Wyatt had fun. Wyatt couldn't walk with his snow boots, he kept felling. Ethan threw snow at Wyatt a few times. He kept asking us to make snow balls for him.

Pregnancy Test

I did a pregnancy test on 12/14 but it was negative. After we shopped at Burlington Coat Factory (we were looking for snow pants, snow boots, beanies, and gloves for Ethan and Wyatt), I wanted to stop by 99 Cents Store and pick up another pregnancy test. I was about to buy two since I didn't think it would be positive. I took the test right away after I got home. Eric was asking me, "What does two lines mean?".

Buns

I saw many recipes online and wanted to try and make them. I have made 5 different kinds so far ( buns with taro fillings 芋泥饅頭, plain buns 饅頭, buns with meat fillings 包子, buns with green onions 蔥花包, buns with two colors 巧克力饅頭).

My first one was buns with taro fillings 芋泥饅頭. They weren't as soft as I expected but still tasted good. Yesterday, I made buns with meat fillings 包子 and they did came out soft. Today, I made buns with meat fillings 包子, buns with green onions 蔥花包, and buns with two colors 巧克力饅頭.

9th Tooth

Wyatt's 9th tooth finally came out (uppper left).

Pizza and Alfredo Sauce

I made pizza dough on Tuesday. Eric found "cpk" pizza dough recipe online. I made Hawaiian pizza. It tasted pretty good, but a little bit too yeasty. The dough was soft. Next time I'll try to put sugar.

Eric even bought a cast iron pizza pan. We wanted to make pizza because Eric likes the pizza we ate at Grace's birthday party which was held at CPK. He said the pizza dough was soft and sweet. Ethan and Wyatt finished a personal pizza.

Last night, I made alfredo sauce I found online using cream cheese. We have tons of cream cheese left, so I tried making it. I used rotini pasta. I made the sauce first, then cooked the chicken, added vegetables, and then finally put sauce back into the pot.

Sea World

We bought Sea World annual memberships again. The deal was buy 1 year get 1 year free. This was the first time for Wyatt. I took Ethan to ride on Abby's Sea Star Spin. It was our first time on this ride. I also took him on Elmo's Flying Fish ride. This was my first time on this ride.

First Pumpkin Patch

After brunch at Viejas, we took Ethan and Wyatt to Oma's Pumpkin Patch. This is our first pumpkin patch. There is an entrance fee of $7 per child 1 year and older. Each child receives a water bottle, Jack Patch Pumpkin and participation in all the activities. One adult per paying child plays free.

Ethan went through hay bale maze, petting corral, "milking cow", played with toy trucks and tractors, slide, and hayride. We saw cows, bulls, and calves. They are quite stinky though.

This is the first time Wyatt wore shoes outside. He wasn't used to them, but he walked ok. When he touched the sand and hay, he looked at his hands and didn't want to touch them.

Ethan wanted to play longer, but we had to shop at Costco before it closed.

15 Months Check Up

Wyatt had his 15 months check up today. He got 2 shots on the right thigh and a prick on the left big toe (to check his iron level). He only cried for a few seconds (what a brave boy!).

Training Wyatt

Ethan wasn't a good sleeper when he was a baby/toddler. Wyatt doesn't sleep well too. He wakes up every 2-3 hrs to breast feed like Ethan. So, last Friday, Oct. 8, Wyatt slept with daddy. He went to sleep around 12 or so, and cried at 2 something, 4 something, 6 something, and then 7 something. We finally let him drink at 7.

The next night, he did a little better. He slept around 11:30, cried around 3 something, 6 something. I went to get him and breast feed him around 6 something.

Last night, he slept with me. I had a hard time making him sleep without the boobs. He kept climbing on me and come to me. I tried to give him a bottle and a pacifier, but he didn't want them. So, I told daddy to put him to sleep. It only took daddy few minutes to put him to sleep cuz he's very tired and sleepy already. He slept around 12 something, cried 2 times, and I fed him around 6 or 7.

2nd Child Speaks Earlier

Wyatt definitely talks earlier and more than Ethan. On Friday morning (10/1) as he woke up, he pointed to my nose and said "nose". Now he can say dada, mama, ma, jiu-jiu = uncle, jiao jiao/foot, choo choo, ge-ge= big brother, gou gou = dog, go go go, good, wo wo = Word World, bad boy, bao bao, nana = banana, ga = car, push, door, turtle, duck, ball, balloon, hao = ok, nene = breast milk, boobs, book.

Roseola

I think Wyatt has roseola. Wyatt had a fever from Thursday to Sunday (9/23 - 9/26). On Friday night - Saturday morning, his fever was pretty high around 103.8. He started to show red spots on his face and body on Monday, 9/27. Today, red spots on his face is almost gone but he still has spots on his body and legs. He feels fine but he still doesn't have appetite.

Preschool

Ethan had a free day at a preschool. When we told him he's going to preschool, he talked about it everyday. He had fun and he liked it. We are waiting for an opening so that he can go there. I packed grapes, almond and jelly bread, ham and cheese sandwich for him. I also gave him juice. His daddy took him to school and waited downstair at Starbucks just in case Ethan needed him.

I went to Ross at Mission Valley to look for a lunch bag/box but they didn't have it. Then, I went to Jamba Juice to get smoothie (bogo!). After that I bought lunch from Jack in the Box. Then, I went to see how Ethan was doing. When I got there, Eric was about to pick Ethan up. After that Eric took Ethan to grandma's house and I took Wyatt home.

After Wyatt had a nap and had his dinner, I took him to Toys R US and Ross to look for lunch bag/box. I bought a Scoopy lunch bag for Ethan from Toys R US. They didn't have much selections left. I also bought playdoh sets for Ethan (buy 2 get 3rd free).

8th Tooth

I don't know when Wyatt's 8th tooth came out. I saw it around the week of 8/23 (upper right).

Walking Around

Wyatt starting to walk around in the house. He walks like a drunk.

Fever

Wyatt had a fever for three days...poor baby. He's fine now, but has little red dots all over his body. (side effects of measles vaccine).

Rough Week

Wyatt had a rough week..4 shots on Monday, July 26, plus the lady couldn't withdraw blood from his arm (according to daddy, the lady pull the needle in and out, left and right trying to get the blood). Tuesday, we went to Children's Hospital and hope they are more experienced, but that lady tried from the same arm and failed, so ended up taking it from his hand...poor baby. We wanted to wait a few days to take him in for the blood test, but doctor wanted us to do it right away *sigh*.

Ethan and Wyatt's Check Up

Ethan got 2 shots on his 3 years old check up and Wyatt got 4 shots. The lady tried to withdraw his blood from his arm but couldn't get it (pull the needle right and left, in and out..poor baby). Wyatt is low on iron level, that's why doctor wanted to do blood test.

Taking Steps

Few minutes before midnight, Wyatt took about 6-10 steps. Yeah for Wyatt!

Ethan and Wyatt's Bday

This year we celebrated Ethan and Wyatt's bday with only family. We ordered Vietnamese sausage/meat ball and salad from a lady. We brought 2 slaps of cooked pork ribs from Costco. We ordered a 1/4 sheet of cake from Tasty Bakery. My mom made smoke turkey and 油飯. My mother in law or Tri made fried rice, fried noodle, ham roll?, and etc. We had some bbq meats too and corns.

Stood Up

Wyatt is not too stable and wants to stand up without holding things. He kept want to stand up without holding things few days ago. He took two steps.

6th Tooth

Wyatt's 6th tooth came out around June 30 (bottom left).

First Long Distance Car Ride

Today, we all went up to my Aunty Ling's house in Chino Hills (my mom, sister, nieces, nephew, brother, Eric, Ethan, and Wyatt). This is Wyatt's first long distance car ride (around 2 hrs).

Aunty Ling has a swimming pool and all kids went in. Ethan jumped in and was shocked. He refused to go in after that. We put Wyatt in baby float. At first, he didn't like it but after awhile he enjoyed it. He floated around by himself, kicking around, and very relaxed.

5th Tooth

Wyatt's 5th tooth came out around the week of June 14th (top left).

Car Seat

Wyatt threw up on the way home on May 30.  So, we had to remove the padding on the carrier.  Daddy was planning to change out the carrier this month.  However, since we had to wash the padding on the carrier, daddy installed the car seat.  

Wyatt sat facing rear and he was very happy.  

Mother's Day

This morning, daddy prepared breakfast for us cuz mommy didn't wanna make it :P We went to Costco about noon to do grocery shopping and also had hotdogs.  Ethan doesn't like hotdog or pizza yet, so we left him had a churro.  After Costco, we went to Target.  We were looking for a steamer, but Target didn't have it.  Then after we unloaded our grocery, we went over to my mom's house.  Even though it's Mother's Day, my mom cooked for all of us :P  My Aunty Amy and Uncle Randy were there too.  

Mother's Day

Today I had lunch at Tea Station with Kaichi, Yumi, and Weiping.  We left our kids with our husbands except Weiping.  Weiping brought Helen with her.  We sure enjoyed ourselves without kids for awhile.  Ethan, Wyatt, Tiga, and Rion played at Alice's house while mommies were having lunch.  

Talkative

Wyatt is very talkative.  When he was about 7 months, he said "Ok, jie jie, gege, mama, mum mum, dada".  One time when he hurt himself and daddy asked, "Are you ok?", he answered, "Ok.".  I heard him say "Oh oh" today for the first time.  He would say that when he dropped something.  

Potty Training

I don't know what's wrong with Ethan today.  He kept peeing in his pants.  He would pee by the toilet.  He knew he had the urge to go pee, but he just didn't pee in the little toilet.  I don't know if he just want to play with water or what, cuz each time he peed in his pants, I would take him to the bath tub and rinsed him off.  

Potty Training

Ethan didn't wet himself again over night, but he didn't make it to the toilet in the morning.  He said he wanted to go pee pee and I helped him to remove diaper, but it was few seconds too late.

After Ethan woke up, I told him to go pee but he didn't want to.  Few seconds later he peed in his pants.  He only peed in his pants one time today.  When he was walking away from me, I asked him where is he going, he answered, "pee pee".

I started potty training Ethan today.  He wet himself about 7-8 times.

Shaking Head

Wyatt shakes his head a lot now, especially when he eats.  He doesn't like to eat baby food.  He would keep shaking his head.  

Standing Up

Wyatt could stand up sometimes in March.  He would stand up by holding on to things.   

4th Tooth

Wyatt's 4th teeth finally came out around Friday, April 16.

Biter

Wyatt bit my arm last week or so.  He bit my t-shirt a few times and also bit daddy's t-shirt too.  

Iron Level

Nurse left message on the phone.  Daddy went back to the clinic after work to sign the medical release form.  Doctor said Wyatt's iron level was 9 (normal is 10 or something).  She also said his x-ray was fine.  But we have to give him iron supplement and check back in a month.  

Withdrawn Blood

I got a call from the nurse saying that Wyatt had to withdrawn blood again cuz the one they got yesterday was clogged.  My poor baby had to go back to withdraw blood =(  She said she called the lab to request for the supervisor to be there (he has more experience on withdrawing baby/kid's blood).  

At first, Wyatt was happy.  Then, he realized "hey, hmm, I think I am starting to remember this place...I don't like this anymore..."  He cried for few seconds and then it was over.  

9 Months Check Up

Wyatt didn't have any shots but he got a toe prick.  They wanted to check his iron level.  Nurse ran the test twice and said it was low, so we had to get a blood sample.  Wyatt had to get his blood withdrawn from both arms...poor baby.   He also got his x-ray.  Doctor wanted to make sure that his hips are aline.  

Shots

Ethan and Wyatt got their booster shots today.  Ethan only needed H1N1 booster shot.  Wyatt had 3 shots (regular booster seasonal flu shot, H1N1 booster shot, Hep ).  Ethan didn't cry and Wyatt only cried for few seconds.

Sitting Up

Wyatt can push up to sit up by himself about a week now.

Daddy's Birthday

I baked a cake for daddy's bday.  I used a box of Betty Crocker Super Moist Cake Mix (French vanilla).  I put strawberry, peach, and French vanilla pudding as filling.  I put strawberry, peach, and banana on the top.  

Niece Vicky's Birthday

I baked a cake for my Niece Vicky.  She is 6 days younger than Cathy.  Since her birthday was on the weekday, I baked her a cake on Saturday.  Vicky wanted a chocolate cake.  I used a box of Betty Crocker Supermoist cake mix (milk chocolate) and used cookie dough ice cream as filling as she requested.  I put mini oreo cookies as decorations.  

Both Ethan and Wyatt are Not Feeling Well

Ethan got sick on Feb. 21 (Sunday) and Wyatt got sick on Feb. 19 (Friday).  Both of them are coughing and have mucus.  Ethan has hoarse voice.  Poor babies :(

Niece Cathy's Birthday

I baked a cake for my Niece Cathy.  She turned 13 years old.  I used a box of Betty Crocker Supermoist Cake Mix (Strawberry).  I put cookies and cream ice cream as filling.  I decorated top with canned peach, Teddy Grahams, grapes, and gummy bears.

Moving Around

Wyatt can't crawl yet but he can still move around.  He has been moving forward for about 2 weeks now.  He moves like a seal (very cute..it seems like he's hurting himself when his tummy crashed to the floor).  He uses his upper body, his hands, his arms to drag/move his body forward.

Wyatt's Sleeping Position

Wyatt likes to sleep on his side now.  When I put him on his back, he can turn to sleep on his side or on his tummy.  He has been a boy lately.  He wakes up every 1 - 2 hour =~(

Wyatt is Not Feeling Well

Wyatt felt a little bit warm this morning.  I gave him baby Motrin before he naps.  

Mom's Birthday

I baked a cake for my mom for her birthday.  I used a box of Crocker Supermoist Cake Mix (Lemon).  I put French Vanilla ice cream as filling.  I put canned peach on top of the cake with some grapes.

Wyatt - Very Talkative

Wyatt is very talkative.  He makes sounds.  He can scream too.  He says mama, baba, a ba, and roars, etc.  

Moving Around

Even though Wyatt can't really crawl yet, he can still move around.  He can roll, move side ways, and back.  Sometimes when he gets lucky, he'll move forward.  

Baby Food ( Apple )

Wyatt tried apple baby food.  He didn't really like it.

Rocking

Wyatt can rock back and forth on his knees.  

Flu Shots

Ethan got his flu shots today.  Daddy took him in while I waited outside with Wyatt (Wyatt was sleeping).  I thought Ethan was going to cry but daddy said he didn't even cry after getting 2 shots (1 for regular flu shot, 1 for H1N1).  Ethan was so brave!!!

Bad Behavior

Lately, when Ethan doesn't get what he wants or gets mad, he'll spit.  I wonder if all kids go through this phase.  

Roll Over

Wyatt finally rolled over from back to tummy by himself.  

Size 4 Diapers

Wyatt is starting to wear size 4 diapers.

Double Eyelids

Right after Wyatt got his shots, he took a nap.  When he woke up, his double eyelids were so visible.  His eyes looked much bigger hehe.  

Wyatt - 6 Months Check Up

I took Wyatt to his 6 months check up today.  He weighed 20 lbs 2 oz ( 90 % ), 27 3/4 inches long ( 90% ), and head was 44 1/2 cm ( 75 % ).  

He got 4 shots, poor baby.  He got his seasonal flu shot and H1N1.  He'll get booster shots and hepatitis shots in a month.  

He was brave today.  He cried only for few seconds.

Wyatt's 2nd Tooth

Wyatt's lower right tooth came out.

Ethan's Teeth

We had hot pot at Carol's house.  I brought napa cabbage, radish, tofu, shrimps, pork meat balls, and fish balls made from fish paste.  Kaichi, Jason, and Alice were there too.  Carol also invited her friend Vivian and her family.  

When were about to leave Carol's house, I saw Ethan's lower left gum had an extra thing sticking out.  It looked so painful.  When we got home, I asked Eric to check Ethan's gum.  The next day, Eric said he thinks Ethan's ok (if Ethan is in pain or if Eric can't find anything on it, we'd take him to dentist).  He said he thinks the back tooth is trying to come out that's why there's an extra gum sticking out.  He said the lower right tooth already came out.

Wyatt finally knows how to swing his body and arms toward you when he wants you to hold him.
