Hands

Justin has been eating his hand for about a month now.  He only eats his right hand.  He plays with his hands (holding hands).

He loves to scratch his head (made it bleed so I have to put a hat on him).  He eats his right hand and pulls hat with his left hand.

Halloween

Ethan and Wyatt wanted to be Mario and Luigi this year.  I purchased hats, mustaches, and white gloves on Amazon.  They didn't get to use mustaches and white gloves.  Quality of white gloves are so crappy and thin (haven't wear them and already have holes).

I couldn't find overalls so I decided to make them.  Wyatt's overall fits better because I have old overall to trace with.  

I made a vest and a hat for Justin (he was Toad from Mario).  

It took me forever to make overalls because I made the straps too short for Ethan.  I ended up cutting the wrong ones which made it longer to make.  

After that we went to Tina's house for Halloween party.

Size 1 Diapers

Justin used up Huggies Snug & Dry Size 1 (50) diapers bought from daddy's co-worker Tiffany. So far he used up at least 180 diapers.

Dirty Bath

I bathed Justin today. First he pee pee in the tub, then few seconds later I heard "Boo!", then yellow poo poo floated on the surface hehehe.

Justin used up 36 Huggies Little Snugglers Newborn diaper bought from daddy's coworker Tiffany.

Carmen came to my mom's house to take Justin's newborn pictures. Justin did well. He was awake for the entire time. He wore clothes that Aunty Romalyn bought for him. I can't wait to see the pictures!

Umbilical Cord

Justin's umbilical cord finally fell off today. I don't know how it fell off. It probably got caught on cotton towel.

1 Week Check Up

Justin had a check up today at 3:40. He weighed 6 lbs 5 oz. Doctor said Justin looked fine and he'll see him in 2 months. After doctor's appointment, we went to Target, Costco, T & L Food Inc (but it was closed), 99 Ranch, and Zion. We bought size 1 diaper from Target, bought milk, Hawaiian rolls, and water from Costco, bought chicken hearts and livers from 99 Ranch, and bought black sesame oil from Zion.

Diaper Size - Justin

Justin used up 54 newborn diapers (20 Pampers Swaddlers New Baby Newborn from the hospital + 34 Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive Newborn - Q bought). We didn't buy any newborn diapers so he is using size 1 diaper (Pampers Swaddlers New Baby) from today. Size 1 diaper is way too big for him. When I held him up to feed him around 8 pm, he was all soaking wet with pee pee hehehe. As I wiped him down with warm water, he cried and cried =P

Justin's Voice

On the first day, Justin sounded like a little kitten. Toward the end of second day, he sounded like a squealing pig. Then after that he sounded like a tiger hehehe. His volume got louder and louder. So far he's been a good baby. He cries when you change his diaper because he doesn't want his private part to be expose (he doesn't want it to feel cold).

3 Days Check Up

On Monday, August 8 around 7:30 am Dr. Goldfinger came to check on Justin. He said he would like to see Justin 2-3 days because Justin had a minor jaundice (5.3). We took him to see Dr. Goldfinger today at 11:20 and his jaundice was 7. something. Even though jaundice level went up, he was still in the minor range. Dr. Goldfinger said everything looked well and he would like to see him on Monday, August 15. He weighed 5 lbs 10 oz.

We showed Dr. Goldfinger Justin's socks which he peeped on. We didn't know why his pee pee had some red color. Dr. Goldfinger said it's perfectly fine. It's red because he didn't pee for awhile and it changed to red crystal...etc.

Welcome to the World Justin

I only slept few hours each day lately. I woke up before 6 and started to have contractions frequently. I decided to drink milk, eat cookies, and one Hawaiian roll. As I was drinking and eating, I kept having contractions. So, I decided to time them. They were 1-2 minutes apart. I decided to wake up Eric and tell him to get ready. I told him, "Let's go". He asked, "Why, are you having contractions?" I said, "yes!". He asked, "Are they 5 minutes apart?" I said, "No, more like 1-2 minutes." Then, he finally decided to get up. We got ready and dropped Ethan and Wyatt off at my mom's. On the way to the hospital, my contractions came less frequent (more like 3-5 min apart).

We got to Pomerado around 8 AM something. I told them I am having contractions and that my doctor is Dr. Chang. Then, I saw Dr. Chang. She happened to be on duty. Nurse Megan took me to the observation room and checked me and said, I was about 4-5 cm dilated. She said, I'm definitely having a baby. Then, we checked into Room 510 (right next to 509 where I delivered both Ethan and Wyatt). That room was occupied or else they could put me in that room. Eric asked his sister Nhi to come to the hospital to take pictures for us. She came around 9 something.

Around 10:10 AM, Dr. Chang came and asked how I was doing and asked if I wanted to walk around. I said, "Ok." She said she wanted to check me before she lets me walk around. She said, I was already 7 cm dilated and not good to walk around. Then around 11:45 AM, I asked Nurse Megan to check me. She said I was about 8-9 cm dilated and she would come back to check on me again in 30 minutes. I asked if I could have the medication stuff through IV. She said it's too late. The only thing I could have is epidural. When she came back, she said, "You are 10 cm dilated...oh wait only 9 cm, the top part is not fully dilated yet." She told me to give a little push when the next contraction comes. Then she left again. About few minutes later, I told Eric to go get nurse because I wanted to push!!! She hurried and call Dr. Chang to come and told me to wait. I tried my hardest to wait and wait and not to push. When Dr. Chang came, I think I held back two contractions (tried not to push) and finally gave up. On the 3rd contractions, I PUSHED, and my water broke and baby came right out. My legs weren't even on the two thinging. =P Dr. Chang injected local anesthetic and then stitched me up. She said I had 2nd degree tear (not too bad). I could feel the anesthetic and stitches =/

Justin was born on August 7 at 12:33 pm, weighed 5 lbs 15 oz and 17.5 inches long. He was sooo tiny. For the first hour or so, Justin was naked with diaper on. Nurse wanted us to do skin to skin. I nursed him about 10 min on each breast. Then my lunch came (it was taco salad, beef chili...). Then Nurse Megan bathed Justin. Of course he cried and cried...I think all babies don't like to be bath at first. After Nurse Megan put diaper on Justin, he was holding on to the clip that was clamp to his umbilical cord. She said she never saw any babies do that. Justin loves to grab on stuffs. He has firm grip.

We took family photos at Coronado, behind Hotel Del Coronado.  I bought two vouchers from CircleBuzz.  It was a pretty good deal (I think two sessions were less than $100 and I paid a little extra for CD).  I made little booties and hat for Justin.

California Adventure

We checked out at Flamingo on May 17. We went to 99 Ranch to see if there's anything to buy. There were there about closed to 11 and not many places were opened. We ended up buying some Chinese breads for breakfast.

I think we arrived at Candy Cane Inn around 4:30 or so. After we checked in, we went over to Cheesecake Factory to have dinner. Then we went over to California Adventure. We went on few rides and saw few minutes of World of Colors.

After that we went to 7 Eleven to buy snacks and drinks.

First Family Vacation

We haven't had a vacation since I was pregnant in 2006. Daddy finally has PTO, so we decided to take a vacation. We left San Diego to Vegas on Sunday morning. We stopped by 99 Ranch to get bread for breakfast. We left there closed to 12. We arrived at Vegas around 4 pm.

We checked in first then walked to Paris Casino to line up for dinner. We stayed at Flamingo and if you stay there for more than 2 nights, you get two 1 day passes to Buffet of Buffets (kids younger than 4 are free :) ). After dinner, we walked on the strip toward M&M. Ethan and Wyatt wanted to get some M&M chocolate and pillows (too expensive so we didn't get). We bought them M&M chocolate and Reese's Pieces from CVS (I also bought lotion since I forgot to bring it). Then we walked back toward Flamingo. On the way back, we saw water show at Bellagio. We bought two blinking light wands for the kids ($5 each). While I was in the shower, one blinking light wand already broke (cuz Ethan pushed Wyatt and Wyatt landed on it and it cracked...how cheap).

Ethan and Wyatt both wanted to sleep with mommy. I put Wyatt to sleep first and then laid down with Ethan. The next day, Ethan and I woke up early so I took him downstairs to eat breakfast. Ethan took pink cotton candy to go hehe. We went upstairs to wake Daddy and Wyatt up :P After they got ready, we went downstairs again to eat breakfast. We took another 2 bags of pink cotton candy to go :P

After that we drove over to Venetian. We took some pictures there and walked around. Then both Ethan and Wyatt fell asleep. While they were napping, I had a small Hazelnut Ice Blended Coffee from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Daddy had margarita drink from Lime Ice Frozen Bar.

After Ethan and Wyatt woke up, we drove over to Planet Hollywood to line up for Spice Market Buffet.

Baby's Movements

I felt baby's movements around 20 weeks. He moves a lot after midnight. May be it's because I sleep late?

Coughing

Wyatt's fever lasts about 2 days, then he started to cough and have running nose. Then Ethan started to cough on Sunday. =/

Legoland and Sea World

Daddy got Friday off and got 3 free Legoland tickets from a coworker. We thought people would be at work but there were tons of people at Legoland around 12 or 1 pm. We told Ethan we would come back next time because there were too many people and he wouldn't get to play much.

Then we headed to Sea World. There were tons of people at Sea World too...gosh. Ethan only climbed up on the net and walked around in the arcade area. We didn't sit on any rides.

Daddy bought vanilla ice cream with rainbow sprinkles in a Shamu bowl for Ethan and Wyatt. Then we went to Pho Fusion for dinner. It was our 1st time there and food tasted good. Boba drink with an entree was only $1 and service was good.

Wyatt napped 3 times (on the way to Legoland, on the way to Sea World, and on the way to Costco). Ethan only napped once on the way to Costco.

Fever

Wyatt had a fever around 12 midnight.

Baby's Gender

The ultrasound technician said it's probably a boy since she sees there's something in between the legs. She also added ultrasound is not 100% correct. It's most likely we are having another boy (Eric's boy sperms swam too fast -__- ).

I asked doctor if San Diego has doctor that does gender selection. She was going to give me the phone number and I said I'm just asking, I don't want it now hahaha.

She told me she needs to monitor the baby and may be she'll induce me (because I bled a lot when I had Wyatt...vaginal wall ruptured). She also suggested to get epidural so I will have more control when it's time to push.

Laguna Mountain

This was the first time we've seen so much snow. It snowed about 26 inches up in Laguna Mountain. We planned to eat buffet at Viejas but there were tons of people, so we ate at Rubios instead. We waited about 1 hour or so to get to Laguna Mountain. Some people just parked on the sides and played.

We paid $5 for the day pass (what a rip off, we didn't have to pay the first time we went there, I guess they tried to earn money whenever there were tons of people). We just stopped by a place so Ethan and Wyatt can play. It's a restricted area but people were playing there, so we went in there too hehe. Some areas when I stepped on it, I sunk almost to my knees.

I almost fainted (blocking out). It was a scary feeling. At first, I felt funny, and then eyes began to get blurry, like water painting. I stood there still and kept blinking my eyes to see if I could see clear again. Then my ears couldn't hear clearly. I started to think if I fainted what would happen to Eric, what was he going to do with me and the kids. Then, I started to feel better again and I told Eric I wanted to go back to the car and rest. First he told Ethan to go back to the car together (so Wyatt and I could rest in the car) and then he would take him back to play. But Ethan decided he wanted to go home.

Shower With Daddy

Ethan showered with daddy. He pointed at daddy's and said, "Big little brother", and pointed at his own and said, "Small little brother" hahaha.

Fever

Ethan had a fever on Tuesday night. His temperature was about 100 on Wednesday. He doesn't have good appetite these past few days. Daddy thinks may be lack of sleep made him have fever.

Mommy's Doctor Appointment

Jackie called me on Monday (1/17) and said Dr. Chang wants to see me back on Wednesday. I started to worry about the baby. When you don't know what's going on, it makes you worry. I was nervous waiting to see Dr. Chang. She did v-ultrasound again. This time baby was 21 mm and about 8 weeks and 5 days. We also see baby's heart beat too. She said sometimes blood tests can't tell you everything and as long as we see baby is growing and see the heart beat, it should be ok. She scheduled me to see her back in 4 weeks. She also wanted me to take more blood tests (regular pregnancy blood tests).

I went to Labcorp for my blood tests. The lady handed me a cup. I didn't know I had to pee but good thing I can always go pee hehe. When I saw the computer monitor, I said, "wow, so many!". I didn't know I have to withdrawn 5 tubes (3 big ones, 2 little ones).

Blood Test

I woke up early to go and take blood test. On the way back, I stopped by Ly's Garden (they were closed, so I didn't get any noodles), Vien Dong (they didn't have the dessert I was looking for), and Miss Donut (bought a dozen of donut holes for Ethan).

Progesterone Level

Jackie called me and said my progesterone level was low so Dr. Chang wanted me to take another blood test on Friday. She told me Dr. Chang wanted me to start taking progesterone pills right away. When I went to pick up my medicine, I thought the lady said it's $9 something. I thought to myself, "wow, that's cheap!". When I saw the number on the register, it was actually $92 something. I asked how much would it be with insurance. She told me to go to another window. After that I only saved about $10 with insurance. This medicine is so expensive!

Lake Arrowhead

After my doctor's appointment, we headed to Lake Arrowhead. We were hoping there's still snow so Ethan and Wyatt can play. When we got there, there was only frozen snow. We didn't want to drive about another hour to Big Bear so we just let them play with whatever that's left on the ground. Even though there wasn't too much snow on the ground, they still had fun hehe.

After that we changed their pants because they sat down on the ground and got wet. Then we ate chicken nuggets and apple pies at McDonald. Then we drove over to Josephine mom's house in Corona. We haven't seen each other over 10 years. We saw 4 new puppies. Ethan and Wyatt were playing with the dogs. We had udong and chives pan cake thinging. We stayed there about 1 hour or so and drove back to San Diego.

Mommy's First Pregnancy Check Up

I had my first pregnancy check up today. Dr. Chang did v-ultrasound and printed out two pictures of my baby. Baby was only 9 mm which was about 6 weeks and 6 days old. She told me to take blood test to find out my hormone level.

Sleep Through the Night

Wyatt slept with daddy for 3 nights. When he finally slept with me, he cried and asked for nene. It took him awhile to fall back to sleep. I thought he would never stop crying. Finally, the second night ( 1/11), he slept through the night. I was shocked! He didn't struggle when I told him to sleep and he didn't wake up at all. YEAH! After 18 months he finally slept through the night!

18 Months Check Up

Wyatt didn't get any shots today. Ethan and I waited in the car while Eric took Wyatt to doctor's appointment.

Cold Turkey

We decided to make Wyatt quit breast feeding after we found out I was pregnant. He slept with daddy on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night. He woke up few times crying. The first night was the hardest. After that he cried less and less.
