Dermatologist

I have brown spots on my both hands since 3/31. I asked my obgyn doctor on 4/16 if she knows why I am having brown spots on my hands, she suggested me to see my primary doctor. I saw my primary doctor on 4/21 and she doesn't know either. She referred me to dermatologist.

I went to see dermatologist today. The assistant helped me first and then she asked the doctor to come in. Doctor said he's pretty sure the brown spots on my left hand has to do with lime and sun. He's not too sure about the right hand though. He said he can't give me bleaching cream right now since I'm pregnant. He wants to have a follow up after 2 months of my delivery.

New Words

Ethan has been saying "bird" and "duck" for weeks now. He can say "please", "gu gu" = aunty, "shoe", "wa wa" = socks / water, "eat". Now he is trying to repeat after you but he just can't pronounce them correctly.

Wild Animal Park

We went to 99 Ranch Market for breakfast. We just got 2 Vietnamese buns. Ethan seems to like it. He can eat almost 1/2 by himself. He ate few samples too (Thai dessert and instant beef rice noodle).

After that we took Ethan to Wild Animal Park. It was Ethan and Eric's first time been there. Our first stop was Hidden Jungle. It was a pretty long line. People lined up to see butterflies. It was so humid in there. I think we waited about 40 min or so. Then we went to Lorikeet Landing.

The next stop was Journey into Africa tour. We waited about 1 hr and 15 min. Good thing it wasn't hot. I felt relax while riding on the tour bus. The weather was nice and the scenery was beautiful.

Our last stop was feeding the ducks.

Sea World

I took Ethan to ALI around 10:30. Kaichi said she would meet me there after she showered. Kaichi came around 10:40 or so. After that we headed to Sea World. We went to children's area first. Then we saw Shamu. After we walked to California Tide Pool. Ethan and Alice didn't get to touch star fish but they touched the icy cold water. After that we went to World of the Sea Aquarium. They were watching turtle and fish eat the shrimps.

After Alice and Ethan changed their diapers, we took them to eat lunch at Shipwreck Reef Cafe. We both got the beef sandwich with fries. The bun was really good. Ethan wasn't interested in eating the beef or the bun. He only ate fries and drank his apple juice. Alice didn't eat much, she fell asleep. Alice slept for few minutes and then we headed to the parking lot. Alice didn't want to get into the car so Ethan and I just left. Ethan fell alseep on the way back home.

Kaichi's House

I took Ethan to Kaichi's house around 10:30. We had lunch there. Kaichi cooked pasta and potato soup. Lili, Sophie, Jia Hui, and Xiao Yu were there too. Lili brought few sweet rice shao mai and bing. I didn't know they were going to be there so I only brought a slice of the cake I made the night before.

15 Teeth

I don't remember when Ethan grew his 14th and 15th teeth. His upper right cuspid and first molar grew sometime in March (I guess).

Roll Over

Ethan finally can roll over. He was on the bed and he put his head down and push his legs and then he rolled over. He was very happy that he can do that.

Blanket

Ethan likes to put his favorite blanket on his head and walk around like a ghost.

New Words

He has been trying to say "thank you" for at least 2 weeks now. He can't pronounce. It sounds like he said "geek geek" without the k. Sometimes it sounds like "stinky". He can't pronounce "Elmo, No More, Nemo", they all sound like "mo mo". When he wants to watch tv, he'll say "t", he doesn't say the "v".

Zoo

We took Ethan to the zoo. We didn't stay too long cuz we were lazy of walking and it was hot. We only took Ethan to the petting zoo area and then we left. hehe

Easter Party at Q and Tony's House

Q and Tony had a bbq Easter Party at their house. We brought sausage. There were tons of kids. Ethan was the youngest among those who could walk. This time, he wasn't even interested in finding eggs. He rather played with the atv.

Easter Party at Kaichi and Jason's House

I made spring rolls and broken glass jello and brought them to Kaichi and Jason's house. Weiping and her family were there (her husband, David, Helen and parents). Yumi and Tiger were there. Lili and her family were there (Jason and Sophie). Lena and Jacky were there.

Ethan liked to play with the roller coaster and buggy. He grabbed quite a few eggs with daddy's help.

Broken Glass Jell-o

I followed the recipe on Pink's website and did disolve each box of jello into 1.5 cup of hot water (according to Pink, it's too sweet if only use 1 cup of hot water). I made 4 colors of jello-o last night (berry blue, strawberry, lime, orange). This morning I cut them up into cubes. I dissolved 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin in 1/2 cup of cold water then added 1.5 cup of hot water with the condensed milk. I put those cubes of jell-o into a pan and then poured all the condensed milk into it.

I'll see how it turns out later. I am going to bring it to Kaichi and Jason's house tomorrow.

New Words

Since last week or two weeks ago, when Ethan was to play Wii, he'll say "wii". His favorite word now is "NO!". He says it everyday. "Ethan, are you ready to come out of the bath tub?" His answer is always "NO!" hehe He says "hi" and "bye" more often now. He tries to say "go outside" but can't pronunce it right.

Hair Cut

Three of us got hair cut last night. Back in January, Ethan sat on the chair by himself when he was getting a hair cut. He wasn't afraid but this time he cried up a storm. He got hair all over him, his face, his mouth, his clothes...

Not Enough of Sleep

Since I've been working on March 10th, Ethan hasn't have enough of sleep. He used to sleep about 12 hours and napped about 2 hours. Now, he sleeps about 9-10 hours and naps between 30 min - 2 hours. Even weekends, he wakes up around 7:30 or 8:00 cuz I have to wake him up about 7:00 Tuesday - Friday. Most of the time he'll wake himself up close to 7 and cry cuz he doesn't see me in the bedroom.

It's been fun working here with my friend Carol. I think I'll be working for another week or so til the tax season is over.

Sea World - Elmo

We took Ethan to Sea World again. We watched the Dolphine Show. It was pretty boring. Afterward, we stopped by kid's play area and took a picture with Elmo.

Choo Choo

Daddy said he played "choo choo" with Ethan a week or two ago. He started to get into it on Monday, March 30 and wants to play everyday. He'll stand behind daddy and put his arms around daddy's back and then daddy makes choo choo sound. hahaha
