Baby Food ( Pears )

Wyatt likes the pears baby food.  Daddy said it tastes like dried plum.  

Baby Food ( Peas )

I fed Wyatt peas baby food.  It's more thicker than the carrot.  He doesn't seem to like it.

Vomit

We don't know why Wyatt vomited 3-4 times.  The last time he vomited, Daddy said to him "if you vomit again, we are going to the doctor".  He didn't have fever and he stopped vomit, so we didn't take him to the doctor.

Christmas Party at Kaichi and Jason's House

We had a potluck Christmas party at Kaichi and Jason's house.  Eric made roast pork for the first time.  It came out pretty good.  He made 4 pieces.  1 piece for his parents, 1 piece for my mom, and 2 pieces to bring to Kaichi and Jason's house.  He marinated for over a day cuz we were super busy this week.  He combined ingredients/techniques from the recipes he found online.  The first 2 pieces were a little bit dried but skins were crispy.  The skins on the last 2 pieces weren't crispy.  We packed our stuffs and went home.  We thought we could put them in the oven when we got home but the oven doesn't have "broiler" option.  We were running out of time and went to my mom's house to use the oven :P  Her oven is pretty new, so the skins came out nice and crispy.

We were about 45 min late to Kaichi's house.  Kids did crafts first.  After that we ate, then played game.  Last thing was to do gift exchange.  Ethan got wooden blocks.  At the end, kids were cranky (cuz it's sleep time hehe).  

First Hair Trim

Wyatt got his first hair trim by grandpa.  He doesn't look like a baby anymore.

Kyler's Birthday Party

We went to Tina's house to celebrate Kyler's 3rd birthday.  Omar and Julie were there with their 2 kids.  

I think Ethan had fun.  He was chasing Kyler around the house.

Baby Food ( Carrot )

I let Wyatt tried carrot baby food.  He likes it.  

Christmas Party at Romalyn's House

We had a potluck Christmas party at Romalyn's house.  I brought pot stickers.  I bought frozen uncooked pot stickers and then cooked them :p  I have no time to make them from scratch.  

Wyatt liked to look at Romalyn's dogs.  He took a short nap while we were there.  Ethan enjoyed his chocolate.  Steven said each one stick of chocolate took them about 30 min (wow how time consuming!).

Size 3 Diapers

Wyatt is using size 3 diapers now.  It seems like it's not much bigger than size 2 - 3 .  May be he'll have to wear size 4 @_@

Size 2 - 3 Diapers

Wyatt used up 2 boxes of size 2 -3 diapers ( 152 x 2 = 304 ).  

Baby Rice Cereal

I fed Wyatt baby rice cereal tonight.  First I gave him 3 baby spoons full and then added about 1-2 spoons more.  He seemed to like it and ate it well.  

New Talents

Wyatt has been blowing bubbles and now when he blows bubbles, he'll try to spit them out (spray all over) hehe.  When he was about 2 months old, he already knew not to swallow milk and let it drip all over.  He has been holding his hands and now he likes to grab blanket and eat it.  His clothes get wet cuz he drools and he spits.  He likes to eat his fingers/hands and when he put them in too much, he would gag (dumb dumb).

Teeth

Last week (Nov. 19) or so, I saw two bumps on Wyatt's lower gum.  I saw white stuffs too so I felt them...seems like teeth are coming out.  He's been biting me for awhile now.  I can imagine how painful it would be if he bites me with his teeth.  

Hands

Wyatt has been holding his own hands/fingers or other people's hands/fingers for about 3 weeks now.

Haircut

Eric, Ethan, and I got a haircut today.  I'm not used to Ethan's haircut.  This is the first time Ethan's hair is that short.  

First Cold

Wyatt is having his first cold.  He got sick since last Friday night ( Nov. 13 ).  On Friday night, he kept waking up every hour or so.  He didn't want to drink much.  So Saturday morning I asked daddy to take over.  Daddy didn't sleep much on Saturday and Sunday.  

Now, he still has stuffy and running nose.  Basically all of us got sick.  We are still trying to recover from a cold.  

Roll Over

Wyatt can roll over from his tummy to his back.  He did it three times tonight.  He rolled toward to his right side.  It's easier for him to roll over cuz he has no problem laying on his tummy.  Ethan didn't like tummy time cuz we started late.  

Voice

Lately, Wyatt has discovered his voice.  He would ahhh, make grunting sound.  

Wyatt 4 Months Check Up

I took Wyatt to doctor for his 4 months check up.  He weighed 18 lbs 2 oz ( 95 % - 97 %), height -  25.25 inches long ( 50 % - 75 % ), and head was 42.5 cm ( 50 % ).  

He got 2 shots and 1 oral vaccine.  He did better this time.  He didn't cry as much as last time.  He slept right away after I put him in the car. 

Size 2 -3 Diapers

Wyatt used up 1 bag ( 1/2 box ) of size 2 -3 diapers.  

Family Photos

I asked Joel to take family photos for us.  We went to Balboa Park for outdoor pictures.  We met there around 10 and Joel went there with his assistant Bryan.  We left there around 12 and headed to in laws' house for indoor pictures.

We were surprised Wyatt was pretty good.  He wasn't cranky.  He fell asleep while taking pictures at Balboa Park.  Ethan didn't want to take pictures.  He kept walking around but they were able to take some pictures of him :)

Size 2 -3 Diapers

Wyatt used up 1.5 box of size 2 Pampers.  Size 2 is getting a bit too small so we switched back to size 2 - 3.

Eyes and Hands

Wyatt starts to rub his eyes.  He likes to put his hands / fingers in his mouth.  He doesn't like pacifier.  He usually will suck or lick his right hand / fingers.

Chuckle

Wyatt likes to smile and talks a lot.  He usually only chuckles in his sleep but starting today, when you tickle him or blow on his tummy or cheeks, sometimes he would chuckle :) .

Sleeping Position

When Wyatt was a new born, he liked to sleep on his back.  His likes to turn his head to the right, that's his favorite side.  He likes to drink milk (nipples help him to fall asleep).  I would lay him down on the bed and let him suck.  

Now that he is older, he likes to sleep on his tummy.  He sleeps longer and better on his tummy.  Since he sleeps on his tummy, we put him in the crib.  Ethan didn't like the crib and would always wake up so we couldn't put him in the crib.

San Diego Zoo

I took Ethan, Wyatt, Cathy, and my sister to San Diego Zoo.  This month kids under 11 are free.  We went with my Tuesday class so adults are free too. We got there right about 9 am.  We didn't go in til 9:30 cuz teacher was waiting for students to show up.  

We walked all over the zoo (probably about 2/3).  We walked down Panda Canyon and then Wyatt got hungry, so we stopped to feed him.  Ethan was running around.  Car was coming so Kaichi tried to get him away from the car and then he fell.  He hurt his lips cuz his arms didn't support himself when he reached the floor.  

We went to First Aid station before leaving the zoo.  Alice didn't want to stay near it cuz she was afraid it's for her.  

We were planning to eat Thai buffet for lunch but it was shut down.  So, we had lunch at Sunrise Buffet instead.  

Playtown

I took Ethan and Wyatt to Playtown.  I asked my mom to go too.  We were there first and then Kaichi and Alice showed up.  Ethan and Alice played for about 2 hours.  I took my mom home first cuz she needed to pick up my sister.  After I came back, we had lunch at New Century Buffet.  

Smile

Wyatt likes to smile.  He'll smile when you talk to him.  He loves when people talk to him and he'll talk back.  I think he is so cute when he raises his eye brows.  

Hands

Wyatt already licking / sucking his fists.  He doesn't do it all the time cuz he still can't really control his arms hehe.  

Children's Hospital

We took Wyatt to Urology at Children's Hospital.  Doctor said he doesn't see anything coming out from belly button and the x-ray didn't show any leakage, so he wants us to do ultrasound to make sure.  He said he wants to make sure there's no cyst.  He weighed 6.83 kg = 15.058 lb and 24 inches long.

Children's Hospital

We took Wyatt to Radiology at Children's Hospital today.  My pediatrician wanted to make sure that there's no leakage through his bladder.  Eric and I were standing next to Wyatt when they did the x-ray.  The radiologist said he didn't see any leakage.  Wyatt was crying the whole time.  When I looked at the screen, I didn't know what I was looking at.  I didn't know what that dark stuff was.  After they took out the tube, then I realized that's Wyatt's bladder.  As soon as they took out the tube, Wyatt peed and the black thing on the screen became very small.  

Afterwards, they gave Wyatt a stuffed teddy bear.  They told us to call my pediatrician's office tomorrow for the result.  I wonder if we still have to take him to Urology at Children's Hospital on Thursday.  

Classes

  
Today, I took Ethan to music class.  I was late and took me awhile to find the classroom.  

I have been taking Ethan to class starting Sept. 8.  I was about 1/2 hr late, so I was on the waiting list.  I asked my mom to go with me.  (grandma said next time, I can just bring Ethan to class and she'll watch Wyatt).  The next day, I took him to the one at Miramar College.  Since that was Monday & Wednesday class, we couldn't take it.  I asked my mother in law to go with me this time.  (mother in law said the same thing as my mom).  On Thursday, I took him to out door class.  I was late again and parked so far away.  I put my name on the waiting list and still haven't hear back from the teacher.  

Over the weekend, Teacher Helen emailed me and said there's a spot on Tuesday's class.  

  

Sleep Through The Night

At 2 months check up, doctor said Wyatt can start sleeping through the night according to his weight.  I thought it's not possible cuz Ethan wasn't able to sleep through the night til he was about 1 year old.  

On Sept. 16, Wyatt slept around 10:30 and didn't wake up til 4:45 or so.  Last night, he slept around 11 and didn't wake up til 6.  Even though he didn't wake up in the middle of the night, I still couldn't sleep through the night cuz I got to wake up to pump and also check on both Ethan and Wyatt (see if they are covered with blanket or not).

Size 2 Diapers

Since size 2 - 3 is kinda big for Wyatt, Eric ordered a box of Pampers size 2 diapers.  

Two Months Check Up

    

I dropped Ethan off at my mom's and took Wyatt to see doctor.  Wyatt weighed 13 lbs 15 oz ( 90 - 95 %, WOW, almost doubled the size in 2 months hehe), 23 inches long (50%), and head length was 40.25 cm (50 - 75%).

I asked doctor to check his belly button cuz puss still comes out from there.  Doctor asked her partner to look at it too.  She and her partner think Wyatt has patent urachus.  I need to call VCUG - Radiology at Children's Hospital on Monday to schedule for an appointment.  

Size 2 -3 Diapers

Wyatt is using size 2 - 3 Pampers diapers.

Size 1 - 2 Diapers

Wyatt is using size 1 - 2 diapers now.  He finished 8 packs (2 boxes of Pampers size 1 diapers).  

Carina & Simon's Wedding

I woke up 6 in the morning cuz that's when Wyatt woke up.  We left the house around 7:30 to go pick up food at two places.  We got to Mira Mesa around 9.  It was super hot that day.  

Ethan was the tea boy so he had a suit on.  He looked very handsome hehe.  Simon came to Mira Mesa around 11.  Tea ceremony didn't take too long.  I felt old to served tea by Carina & Simon.  After that we went over to Simon's place.  His house has AC and it felt so good to be in an air conditioning place.  Tea ceremony at his place didn't take too long cuz they only need to served tea to his parents and may be his older brothers (I didn't get to see cuz I was in the living room).  After that we took few pictures and then we went back to Mira Mesa so Ethan could take a nap.  

We arrived at the restaurant before 6:30.  My feet were killing me cuz I was wearing high heels, so I brought flip flops as well.  The food was good like what we had for our wedding.  Cake looked pretty.  Carina's wedding dress and Chinese dress both looked pretty.  She was a beautiful bride.  Eric and I were glad the wedding it's over.  Even though it wasn't our wedding but we had to wake up so early too.  It was a long day for us.  Wyatt was a very good boy.  He was fed around 6 before we left Mira Mesa.  He slept the whole time while we were at the restaurant.  We came home around 11 something and then he woke up to be fed.  

Romalyn & Steven's Wedding

After the kids woke up, we took the car for a wash.  Then we went to Starbucks to get coffee and Ethan ate berry cake.  After that we had lunch and then rushed home to change.  

We barely made it to the church.  We arrived right before the bridal party started to walk into the church.  When Romalyn was about to walk into the church, I had goose bumps and had teary eyes.   

We arrived at the reception at 5:45.  We took pictures at the picture booth and glue to a piece of black paper and wrote something on it.  We sat with Jorim and his family, Christina, Franklin, and Casey.  

It was  a very nice wedding.  I like the cake topper.  

Size 1 Diaper

Wyatt used up 6 packs of Pampers 54 size 1 diapers (324).  

New Words

I've been teaching Ethan to say "wo ai mama" = I love mommy.  hehe  

Double Stroller

We decided to buy Graco Twin Ipo Stroller in platinum color.  We tested out today.  Wyatt was sleeping in it.  It's easy to push the stroller around.  

Size 1 Diaper

Wyatt used up 5 packs of Pampers 54 size 1 diapers (270).  We think Wyatt is ready for size 1-2 diapers or may be size 2.

1 Month Old

  
I baked a cake to celebrate Wyatt turned 1 month old.  I didn't have fresh fruit so I used a canned of mixed fruit for the fillings.  

Ethan loved the cake.  He liked to eat the cream.

1 Month Check Up

Wyatt weighed a little bit more than 10 lbs.  He was only 6 lbs 12 oz at birth.  I thought he was only 8 lbs and was shocked to find out he weighed 10 lbs hehe.

Size 1 Diaper

Alice's 2nd Birthday

This time it was Elmo theme.  There were handmade Elmo pianta, cup cakes, and cake.  Many people were invited.  I think kids had lots of fun.  

Yumi and I were breast feeding in Alice's room.  Rion does the same as Wyatt (eat and poop a lot, waste a lot of diapers, and poop poop is really stinky!).  

New Words

Ethan knows "happy", "pa pa" = grandpa, pillow.

Nails

I filed Wyatt's nails on Sunday, 7/19.  I cut his nails today for the first time.

Size 1 Diaper

Wyatt used up 1 pack of Pampers 54 size 1 diapers.

2 Year Check Up

Ethan had his 2 year check up today.  He got a shot (hepatitis A).  His weight was 33.5 lbs (90 - 95 %), height was 37" (95 - 97 %), and head was 48.5 cm (50 %).

Diapers

Wyatt already used up 93 new born diapers (20+36+36) + 1 free sample.  Now he's using size 1 diaper.  Daddy said he doesn't want to buy new born diapers cuz it's more expensive than size 1 diapers.

Bath

We bathe Wyatt for the first time on 7/18.  We were waiting for his umbilical cord to fall off.  

Poop Poop

Since day 1, Wyatt's poop poop stinks so badly.  He poops a lot.  Sometimes he would poop right after you changed his diaper.  I breastfed him around 11:30 on July 10th and he didn't want to drink til 5 or 6 hours later.  When we were at the hospital, he would drink every 3 hrs or so.  After we came home, he drinks anywhere from 1.5 hr - 2.5 hrs.  

Last night, I didn't go to bed til closed to 2 am.  Wyatt kept wanting to drink.  I tried pacifier and it worked for few minutes.  I think he wasn't hungry, he just wanted something in his mouth.   

New Born Diapers

So far Baby Wyatt used up 20 Pampers new born diapers (the ones hospital gave) and 36 Huggies new born diapers (the ones Q bought).  He is using 2nd size 1 Pamper Diaper now.  I asked Eric to buy new born diapers because size 1 is too big.  

Umbilical Cord

Wyatt's umbilical cord fell off on 7/15.

New Born Check Up

We took Wyatt for the return check up on 7/14.  His birth weigh was 6 lbs 12 oz and he weighed 6 lbs 8 oz  (10%), height: 19.5 inches (32%), head: 34.5 cm (20%) on 7/14.  

Baby Wyatt

Wyatt was born at 10:03 am on Friday. He was 6 lbs 12.3 oz (3071 grams) and 19 inches long. His older brother Ethan was 6 lbs 11.7 oz (3054 grams) and 19 inches long. I had the same delivery room, room 509.

My check up with doctor was on Thursday 7/9. Doctor said I was almost 4 cm dilate and 80% thin. I told her that my husband thinks baby will born on the same day as his older brother which is the next day 7/10. She said if we want to, she can schedule me to deliver tomorrow. So we did. She scheduled us to go in at 5 am. 

This time it wasn't as easy as the first time. I started to count contractions at 12 midnight (since I couldn't sleep...too excited). They were about 3-4 minutes apart. We checked in at the hospital around 1:40 am or so. My water didn't break so it took a long time. I thought doctor would break my water so I would dilate faster. I was 8 cm and I wanted to push. Nurse kept telling me to wait til 10 cm but I couldn't. When you want to push, it's hard to stop because when you have contraction, it helps to release pressure by pushing. I think I pushed 2nd time or something and water broke (gush out) so nurse finally called my doctor. She told me not to push but I couldn't help it. Eric said I pushed 2 times and baby came out. So, I delivered my baby without doctor there. My doctor came after few minutes to stitch me up because I had 2nd degree tear (like last time). This time local anesthetic didn't help much. I could feel the pain when doctor tried to stitch me. 

Afterwards I felt ok and nurse helped me to stand up and go to restroom. I didn't feel dizzy the first time. The 2nd and 3rd time I went to restroom by myself, I thought I was gonna pass out. My head was spinning like crazy and I had cold sweat. I felt awful. I felt dizzy because a lot of blood and blood clots came out at once. So I told the nurse and they tried to find out why I bled so much. She kept pressing on my tummy and blood and blood clots came out. It really hurts when she did that. They gave me a shot on my thigh to stop the bleeding but I still bled more than normal. My doctor came after she's done with her patients at the clinic. She told nurse to push me to operating room so she could examine me closely. I had anesthetic through the spine. I was out of operating room about 40 min or so. Doctor told Eric that I ruptured a vein on the top left of my vagina which required 2 stitches. After she stitched me up, my bleeding was at normal rate. 

We left the hospital the next day because we missed Ethan and hospital bed is not comfortable. Every time when he woke up, he would look for us and felt sad that he didn't see us. 

Ethan was happy to see us and his little brother Wyatt. He kept saying baby, baby.

Hospital food wasn't good this time...disappointed.  I was looking forward for the food and French toast. 

Wyatt loves to drink milk, so we don't think he'll have jaundice.

We Are Having a Baby

I went to doctor today. She said I'm almost 4 cm dilate and 80% thin. I told her that Eric thinks baby will come out on Ethan's birthday which is tomorrow on 7/10. She said we can do that if we want to. So, she scheduled for us to go in tomorrow morning at 5. I told her I heard induce is painful. She said not really, she'll just pop my water to help the process. I hope she's right!!! I wonder if my water will break itself like last time. I don't really want to get induce.

I am excited and nervous at the same time. I can't wait to see my baby but afraid I'll feel the pain @_@

New Words

Today is the first time we heard Ethan said "rabbit". He says "so" = soda cuz he loves to drink it. He can say "tea", "rice", "fan fan" = rice, "truck"...etc etc.

Advanced Birthday Celebration

We celebrated Ethan's 2nd birthday at in laws'.  Ethan got a "Car" ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins (I think Aunty Nhi bought it).  Ethan got a remote control car from Aunty Carina, a remote car and Cars from Uncle Tri.

I'm thinking to make him a cake on his actual birthday.  Ethan hasn't open the presents that Mommy and Daddy bought. 

Baby Carrier

Daddy installed baby carrier in the car.  Mommy will get to sit in the front again hehe.

Good Memory

Eric said kids have short term memory.  But Ethan has very good memory.  My mom went to Taiwan for 3 months and he still remembers her, remembers where she puts her toy train, remembers the water fountain, and etc.  When we went back to this buffet place we hadn't gone for 2 months, he still remembered the fish (they have a big fish tank with fish in it).  When he passes by Barnes & Noble at Grossmont, he'll say "choo choo" cuz he remembers Thomas train set in there.  

Baby #2

He loves to move all the time.  He always stick out his butt, especially to the right.  He's so energetic.  It seems like he never sleeps.  He hiccups a lot too like his older brother Ethan.  I can't wait to meet him.  It's so hard to sleep or sit with this huge tummy.  I wonder if he'll come out on Ethan's birthday.  That'll be cool!  

Hair Cut

Ethan and Daddy both got hair cut on Saturday, June 27.  He cried again.  

Doctor's Appointment

I told doctor that I'm afraid baby will come out while she's on vacation from July 1st - July 5th.  Doctor said baby's head is not in the birth canal yet and she told me not to worry.  I'm still worry that baby will come out while my doctor is on vacation.  I don't want any doctors to deliver my baby, especially a guy doctor.  My weight is already surpassed when I was pregnant with Ethan @_@  oh brother!  

New Words

Tonight, we heard Ethan said "frog" the first time.  He also knows "coin" for sometime now.  When he sees bigger car, he'll call it "truck" or "choo choo".  He also looks for cars, trucks, train / trolley, or balloons while in the car.  He knows "book", "cake", and "ki" = cookie.

Behavior

Daddy said it seems like Ethan is growing up.  He behaves better and listens more.  It's easier to tell him to sleep than before.  But daddy still has to threat him when he doesn't listen.  Ethan is afraid of being lock in in the bathroom.  

Car Seat

Daddy changed Ethan's car seat from right to left on June 12.  Ethan got to sit on the left side for the first time on the way to Baby Time Expo on June 13.  It started at 10 and we arrived at 9:15.  I wanted to get the free gifts that worth $250 but there were tons of people in line already.  They were only giving out to the first 50 expecting women.  So, we just passed by and left.  

Dentist

We took Ethan to dentist after my check up.  This was Ethan's first visit.  Of course he cried like other kids.  Dentist said we can start using fluoride toothpaste.  He said we can use cloth to wipe his teeth if it's hard to brush with toothbrush.  He said we can also try electric toothbrush.  He also said Ethan's 4 front teeth are tight so we should use floss.  

Milk Bottle

Ethan finally stopped using bottle.  He usually drinks milk at least 20 oz a day but since he stopped drinking milk from bottle, he only drinks about 8 oz or so from cup.

Doctor Visit

We took Ethan to see doctor on Thursday, June 4.  Doctor said continue to give him Tylenol or Motrin and wait for 1 hour before trying to offer him food.  She said it's ok if he doesn't eat but he has to drink.  She said try to give him Pedialyte, Pedialyte popsicle,  or Gatorade.

At night, he did eat a little bit of porridge with scrambled egg.  

Today, I tried to give him porridge with soy sauce and then with sugar in the morning but he wouldn't want to eat it.  He drank apple juice.  After awhile I gave him pudding.  He ate 1/2 of it.  Then, he took about 2 hours nap.  After he woke up, he finished his pudding.  I cooked up rice noodle and he ate some.  He drank some passion fruit green tea.

At night, he only ate a little bit of rice noodle.  He didn't want to drink milk through the bottle so daddy poured the milk into a cup with a straw.  He drank about 8 oz.  We are thinking since he hasn't been drinking milk through the bottle, may be we can wean him off of it (like pacifier, breast feeding...he weaned if off himself hehe).

No Appetite

Ethan woke up sweating on Tuesday morning.  His fever went away.  Then toward the evening, his temperature was about 101 - 102.  He vomited around 12 am...poor baby.

Ethan doesn't have appetite today.  This morning he only ate 2 spoons of porridge.  We tried to give him his favorite foods/snacks.  We offered him Oreo cookie, fries, watermelon, yogurt drink, pudding, and dried seaweed.  He only ate 1/2 of pudding.  He usually can eat 1 1/2 of pudding and 1 1/2 bottles of yogurt drink.

Fever

This morning Ethan's forehead felt hot.  He's having fever.  At first, his temperature was 101 and then went up to 103.9.  We alternate between Motrin & Tylenol.  His temperature is about 101 - 102 now.  

New Words

Ethan could say "jiu jiu" = uncle not too long ago.  Last Friday he was watching Thomas and he said "Ta choo choo" = Thomas.  Grandma came back from Taiwan and gave him a piggy bank and he could say "pig".  He could say "rice", "fri" = fries.  

Legoland

We took Ethan to Legoland on Memorial Day.  We thought not many people would be there but there were more people than last time.  

Ethan went on choo choo train "Legoland Express" twice (once with daddy and second with mommy).  Ethan played in the "Playtown" for awhile and he wanted to play with water.  We changed his pants to shorts and he only went into the water for few seconds and he didn't want to be in there anymore.  

After we changed his diaper, daddy took Ethan to "Sky Patrol".  We got 2 refills of drink and tried granny fried apples.  Granny fried apples didn't taste good.  On the way back to the entrance, we went on "Fairy Tale Brook" and "Safari Trek".  

Baby Shower

Kaichi and Jason hosted a baby shower for Yumi and me.  Yumi invited 2 friends and I invited Carol and Romalyn.  Carol came with Grace and Romalyn came with Steven.  Weiping and her family were there too.  

Yumi baked 2 cakes and I made mango pudding and watermelon baby stroller.  Weiping made bao zi.  Kaichi made rest of the food.  She even made chocolate in the sticks.  

We played 3 games.  First one was guess baby food, second was see whose baby in the ice cube comes out first, the last one was pick a card to see whose baby has stinky diaper.  Yumi and Masa won the first game, I won the second (I got cow soap as price), and Weiping's mother in law won the 3rd.  Yumi put 2 plastic babies in the cake and both Eric and I got them.  We got water guns as price.  I was sitting with Romalyn and Steven when I ate the cake.  When I found the baby, I said, "I have the baby!"  They said, "You just noticed now that you are having a baby?" hehe

Mommy's Bday

We went to Barona for free buffet for two plus $10 free play.  Ethan heard people sang Happy Birthday 2 or 3 times and he said "to you".  

Mommy's Bday Present

Daddy got mommy a 15" Mac Book and a 4 GB of memory card for Lumix digital camera. :)

New Words

He has been saying "cold", "bing bing" = cold, "eat", "stinky" for awhile now. When he wants to watch tv, he says "t t".

Ethan likes to drink soup like his mommy. He'll say "soup".

Before getting out of car, he'll say "shoe".

He tries to sing "The Wheel on the Bus" but he can only do "round". When you sing "all through" and then he'll say "down" = town.

Legoland

Our annual memberships for Seaworld have expired, so we wanted to try Legoland. We got to Legoland around 11.

Our first stop was Coast Cruise. We thought Ethan could get on rides that require at least 36" but he is not quite there yet. He's about 35" I guess. Second ride was Lost Kingdom Adventure. Then, we had lunch atKnight's Table Barbeque. After that Ethan and daddy went on Flight Squadron. Then we went on Fairy Tale Brook. It was very relaxing, the cool breeze and the music made us want to take a nap. Our last ride was Safari Trek.

Ethan did fine with the rides today. Usually he'll be scare like the Flying Fish Elmo ride at Seaworld.

Choo Choo

I met up with Kaichi and Yu-Hsien today at UTC. There's a small kids play area and Ethan usually just played with the car. There are two cars but one is without a steering wheel. Today, after he played with the car, he saw train so he walked over there and stared at those kids who were on the train already. He waited and waited cuz he wanted to ride on it. I kept telling him that daddy will take him to play choo choo tomorrow cuz we are planning on going to Legoland. I put him in the stroller and he started to whine. Then, Kaichi and Yu-Hsien pushed strollers toward us and Yu-Hsien said she has tickets for the train. She took Sophie, Alice, and Ethan to ride the train. I couldn't believe Ethan sat on the choo choo train by himself today (I meant without mommy or daddy by his side). When the ride was over, Ethan didn't want to budge.

We had lunch at Miami Grille. Kaichi and I both had Cubano sandwich with mixed fries (seasoned fries and sweet potatoe fries). Donna had Miami Grilled Katsu Chicken Salad. Yu-Hsien had Key West Chopp. We also ordered 2 kid's meal so 4 kids can share. We ordered Breaded Chicken Tenderloins with fries and strawberry smoothie and Grilled Teriyaki Chicken with rice and peach smoothie.

Words

Lately, Ethan likes to say "dude", "cool", and "duck". When he sees birds, he'll refer them as "duck". When he's in the car, he'll look out for balloons. When you drive fast or others drive fast, he'll say "zoom, zoom, zoom".

Learning Curve Take Along Thomas & Friends - Morgan's Mine Set

After we had dinner, mommy said Ethan can play trains at Barnes & Noble. The first time we walked in there were kids playing with them already. So, we went to Wal-Mart instead. Ethan was crying cuz he wanted to play. Since mommy said Ethan get to play with trains, we went into Barnes & Noble again. Three brothers were there playing. The father told the oldest son to share two trains with Ethan. Ethan wanted the trains with faces so he wasn't happy he didn't get them. So, daddy said lets go. Of course, Ethan cried again. So, we told Ethan we will buy him his own trains to play with.

We went to Target and daddy bought Ethan "Learning Curve Take Along Thomas & Friends - Morgain's Mine Set". It was $39.99 plus tax. Too bad Ethan's birthday is in July or else it would be Ethan's birthday present. hehe

Ethan was impatient and wanted to play with it right away. He was whining on the way home. When we got home, daddy and mommy put the set together. Ethan was happy and played with it until he went to sleep.

4D Ultrasound Take Two

After my appointment with my OBGYN, we went to get some lunch. Then, we redo 4D ultrasound. This time we definitely see baby's face :) He opened his mouth, eyes (I couldn't tell), and smiled.

Lake Murray

Today we met up with Kaichi and Alice at Barnes & Noble for story time. Of course, Ethan didn't want to sit and listen to the story, so he went to play with trains again. He played about 22 minutes and then we went to Lake Murray.

Kaichi brought rice, egg, beef with onion, and mac & cheese. Ethan used to like McNuggets but now he likes mac & cheese more.

Kaichi brought bread to feed squirrels, ducks, and birds (mainly seagulls). Ethan held Alice's hand again and walked toward the lake hehe.

Lap Desk

Daddy bought me The Ergonomic Lap Desk from Costco. I like to use my lap top on the bed, so the lap desk is very handy. Months ago daddy bought me a bed rest pillow and The Car Buddy Pillow for Ethan.

Grossmont Center

Today we met up with Kaichi and Alice at Barnes & Noble. Ethan played with the trains for at least 15 minutes. After that we tried to find something to eat. First, we went to Panera Bread but they didn't have anything that Ethan would want to eat. Second, we went to Panda Express. The food looked too dry so we left. Lastly, we went to food court and got 2 items combo at this Chinese fast food place. I got 1/2 fried rice, 1/2 stir fried noodle, Mandarin chicken and chicken with string bean. I also got a large root beer.

Alice and Ethan didn't eat too much. They held hands and sang...so cute!

4D Ultrasound

This morning at 9:30 we did 4D ultrasound. During the entire session, baby was sleeping and had his arm up right next to his cheek or ear. All we could see is his cheek, ear, arms, hands, fingers, feet, toes, his private part, and heard his heart beat. No matter what we did he wouldn't turn or move. Tammy (the person who did the ultrasound) had me turn to my sides or walked around but baby didn't want to move at all. She said baby is about 3 lbs and 1 oz. We were there about 20 minutes. Since we couldn't see baby's face, we have the option to redo it for $29 within 2 weeks. So, I scheduled for this coming Thursday. Hopefully we'll get to see his little face.

Oh yeah, while we were in the room, Ethan was having diarrhea (we could hear it).

Bonita Cove

Today we went to Bonita Cove with Kaichi, Jason, Alice, Yumi, Masa, Tiger, Yu-Hsian, her husband, Sophie, Chia-Hui, her husband, Hsiao-Yu, Donna, her husband, and Daniel.

Jason picked up chicken, salad, rice, and two flavors of Thai sauce (peanut and sweet spicy). I brought Hawaiian sweet rolls with butter and cheese and almond pudding with cocktail fruit.

Masa bought roses for all the mommies!

More Diarrhea

Ethan still has diarrhea...poor baby. Besides diarrhea, he is still active and playful.

16th Tooth

Lower right cuspid broke out sometime in April.

Diarrhea

Ethan has diarrhea today. I have changed his diapers 6 times already and Eric changed 1 time.

I guess both Ethan and Eric have stomach flu or something (both diarrhea like crazy today). May be it's the food from Coco's. We went to Coco's last night for dinner.

Alice's House

Today, we went over to Kaichi's house again. Yu-Hsian, Sophie, Chia-Hui, and Shiao-Yu were there too.

After Ethan and Alice ate, they went to Alice's room. When they came out from the room, they were holding hands...how cute is that hehe. Then, Ethan held Alice's hand again to take her back to the room hehe.

JC Penney Portrait Studio

We took family photos at JC Penney again. This time I just ordered the $7.99 package since I want to order the cd later. I can just print pictures out myself.

Dermatologist

I have brown spots on my both hands since 3/31. I asked my obgyn doctor on 4/16 if she knows why I am having brown spots on my hands, she suggested me to see my primary doctor. I saw my primary doctor on 4/21 and she doesn't know either. She referred me to dermatologist.

I went to see dermatologist today. The assistant helped me first and then she asked the doctor to come in. Doctor said he's pretty sure the brown spots on my left hand has to do with lime and sun. He's not too sure about the right hand though. He said he can't give me bleaching cream right now since I'm pregnant. He wants to have a follow up after 2 months of my delivery.

New Words

Ethan has been saying "bird" and "duck" for weeks now. He can say "please", "gu gu" = aunty, "shoe", "wa wa" = socks / water, "eat". Now he is trying to repeat after you but he just can't pronounce them correctly.

Wild Animal Park

We went to 99 Ranch Market for breakfast. We just got 2 Vietnamese buns. Ethan seems to like it. He can eat almost 1/2 by himself. He ate few samples too (Thai dessert and instant beef rice noodle).

After that we took Ethan to Wild Animal Park. It was Ethan and Eric's first time been there. Our first stop was Hidden Jungle. It was a pretty long line. People lined up to see butterflies. It was so humid in there. I think we waited about 40 min or so. Then we went to Lorikeet Landing.

The next stop was Journey into Africa tour. We waited about 1 hr and 15 min. Good thing it wasn't hot. I felt relax while riding on the tour bus. The weather was nice and the scenery was beautiful.

Our last stop was feeding the ducks.

Sea World

I took Ethan to ALI around 10:30. Kaichi said she would meet me there after she showered. Kaichi came around 10:40 or so. After that we headed to Sea World. We went to children's area first. Then we saw Shamu. After we walked to California Tide Pool. Ethan and Alice didn't get to touch star fish but they touched the icy cold water. After that we went to World of the Sea Aquarium. They were watching turtle and fish eat the shrimps.

After Alice and Ethan changed their diapers, we took them to eat lunch at Shipwreck Reef Cafe. We both got the beef sandwich with fries. The bun was really good. Ethan wasn't interested in eating the beef or the bun. He only ate fries and drank his apple juice. Alice didn't eat much, she fell asleep. Alice slept for few minutes and then we headed to the parking lot. Alice didn't want to get into the car so Ethan and I just left. Ethan fell alseep on the way back home.

Kaichi's House

I took Ethan to Kaichi's house around 10:30. We had lunch there. Kaichi cooked pasta and potato soup. Lili, Sophie, Jia Hui, and Xiao Yu were there too. Lili brought few sweet rice shao mai and bing. I didn't know they were going to be there so I only brought a slice of the cake I made the night before.

15 Teeth

I don't remember when Ethan grew his 14th and 15th teeth. His upper right cuspid and first molar grew sometime in March (I guess).

Roll Over

Ethan finally can roll over. He was on the bed and he put his head down and push his legs and then he rolled over. He was very happy that he can do that.

Blanket

Ethan likes to put his favorite blanket on his head and walk around like a ghost.

New Words

He has been trying to say "thank you" for at least 2 weeks now. He can't pronounce. It sounds like he said "geek geek" without the k. Sometimes it sounds like "stinky". He can't pronounce "Elmo, No More, Nemo", they all sound like "mo mo". When he wants to watch tv, he'll say "t", he doesn't say the "v".

Zoo

We took Ethan to the zoo. We didn't stay too long cuz we were lazy of walking and it was hot. We only took Ethan to the petting zoo area and then we left. hehe
